Sales / Account Manager

Location: Torrance, CA

Employment Type: Full-time, On-site (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM)

Salary: $50 – 80K (DOE)

Position Summary

Our client, a Japanese company is looking for a Sales / Account Manager who will serve as a key liaison between Japanese customers, the parent company in Japan, and U.S. suppliers. Responsibilities include pricing negotiations, delivery coordination, troubleshooting, supporting supplier and customer visits, and assisting with aerospace-related projects. The role also involves preparing related documents and presentations.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Account Management

  • Communicate and negotiate with U.S. semiconductor manufacturers
  • Promote products, prepare quotations, and manage orders for Japanese customers via the parent company

Operations & Coordination

  • Coordinate delivery schedules and handle related administrative tasks
  • Support aerospace-related projects

Client & Supplier Support

  • Accompany suppliers on business trips to Japan
  • Support Japanese customers visiting the U.S.

Qualifications

  • Business-level English and Japanese communication skills
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available)
  • Basic PC skills (email, Excel, presentation materials)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Sales or account management experience at a manufacturer or trading company
  • Ability to understand technical information and communicate effectively with customers
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to gather information independently

Ideal Candidate

  • Understands differences between U.S. and Japanese business culture
  • Experience working in Japan is a plus
  • Values long-term customer relationships
  • Works collaboratively and communicates effectively within a team
  • Motivated to learn new technologies and industry knowledge

Travel & Driving Requirements

  • Domestic U.S. travel several times per year (2–3 days per trip)
  • Business travel to Japan approximately twice per year
