Location: Wood Dale, IL (Hybrid: 4 days in the office, 1-day WFH)
Salary: 50K-60K /year (DOE)
Purpose: Assist the sales manager and team by providing mainly “inside” administrative and customer service support.
Essential Duties:
Basic Contact with Existing and Prospective Customers (10%)
Communication and coordination with HO and branch departments (15%)
Administrative – utilization of computers to research, create and maintain databases and reports, create and maintain marketing and sales materials, manage and enforce salesforce with CSHQ and network (75%)
Technical
Maintain industry and market database, files, and information
Prepare and support major client quotations. Bids and RFQs through coordination and database creation
Communicate with customers to provide the information and/or seek information to assist
Customer service support for new and existing sales programs
Use Customer and prospect contact activities, tools, and systems to update relevant information in these systems.
General Operations support and interface functions
Close interface to Import and Export functions, including document breakdowns and preparation of consolidation packages, and orientation on the needs and specifications of specific customers.
Coordinate with import, export, and warehouse staff as appropriate to assure quality and obtain customer-requested information.
Qualifications:
Professional-level Japanese and English language proficiency with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), with the ability to create reports, presentations, and other business documents efficiently.
Experience in the logistics industry is preferred. Candidates with knowledge of logistics terminology and import/export operations are highly encouraged to apply.
