We are seeking a bilingual HR Generalist / Assistant to support payroll administration, benefits management, and HR/administrative operations. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient HR processes while providing support to employees, including Japanese expatriates.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Administration
Process multi-company, multi-state payroll using ADP
Maintain payroll records and employee data changes
Monitor time and attendance records
Prepare payroll reports and support 401(k) administration
Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies
Assist expatriate employees with payroll- and tax-related matters
Benefits Administration
Manage employee benefit enrollment and data updates
Reconcile benefit invoices and coordinate payments
Conduct new-hire benefits orientation
Support Japanese expatriates with benefits enrollment and Social Security Number processes
Prepare ACA-related reports and ensure compliance requirements are met
HR & Administrative Support
Assist with employment visa documentation and expatriate administration
Maintain employee records and HR documentation
Support J-SOX documentation and reporting requirements
Coordinate headcount reports and surveys with subsidiaries
Provide administrative support to employees and visitors as needed
Qualifications
Required
Fluency in both English and Japanese (written and verbal)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Preferred
Experience with ADP Payroll System
Experience supporting expatriate employees and visa-related processes
HR Generalist experience in a corporate environment
