Account Manager – Inside Sales 

About the Role

We are seeking a customer-focused Account Manager – Inside Sales to manage customer accounts, process orders, coordinate shipments, and support business growth within a manufacturing environment. This role serves as a key liaison between customers, production, shipping, quality, accounting, and outside sales teams to ensure exceptional service and on-time delivery. This is a on-site job.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage customer inquiries, orders, and account-related requests.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned customers and territories.
  • Follow up on sales leads and identify opportunities for additional business.
  • Process purchase orders and maintain accurate order records.
  • Coordinate with production scheduling to meet customer delivery requirements.
  • Plan shipments and communicate shipping instructions to internal departments.
  • Provide customers with shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading and material certifications.
  • Review customer concerns and collaborate with internal teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor inventory levels, manage order adjustments, and maintain material inventory records.
  • Review open orders, transfer orders, and historical order activity to ensure accuracy.
  • Support outside sales and accounting teams with pricing, invoicing, and customer-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate product specifications and documentation.
  • Perform additional administrative and customer support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in inside sales, account management, customer service, or order management.
  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across departments.

Work Environment

This position operates in a manufacturing and office environment and may involve occasional exposure to warehouse and production areas. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required when entering designated production spaces.
