Staff Accountant – Duluth, GA (On-site)

Full-time | Salary: $55-75K (DOE)

Join the U.S. arm of a global chemical manufacturer with a long-standing history in advanced materials and electronics. Established in Japan in 1947, this organization operates across 11 countries with 30+ manufacturing sites, supporting industries such as automotive, consumer electronics, and industrial applications. The Duluth-based team plays a key role in North American manufacturing, technical support, and sales, offering a collaborative environment within a globally connected business.

Overview:

This role supports core accounting operations, including financial reporting, monthly close, and general ledger management. You’ll work closely with leadership and contribute directly to maintaining accurate financials in a growing, internationally connected business.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2–3 years of accounting experience preferred
  • Understanding of core accounting principles
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
  • Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Team-oriented with strong communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly financial reporting, including balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger entries
  • Support monthly close process and maintain accurate accounting records
  • Prepare standard and non-standard journal entries (daily, monthly, quarterly)
  • Reconcile balance sheet, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
  • Perform bank reconciliations and manage cash flow tracking through accounting systems
  • Track and report on fixed assets, including additions and disposals
  • Investigate and resolve account variances
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and ISO-aligned processes
  • Support leadership with ad hoc reporting and analysis
  • Assist with AR/AP processes and basic HR/payroll-related tasks
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed
