Senior Supply Chain Planner

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Supply Chain Planner to join a dynamic and growing team. In this role, you will play a key part in driving operational efficiency and supporting business growth by managing demand planning, inventory optimization, and order fulfillment.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead end-to-end supply and production planning, including shipment coordination
  • Manage and communicate backorder status, providing accurate delivery timelines to internal stakeholders
  • Monitor and optimize inventory levels to ensure efficiency and availability
  • Drive the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to align demand and supply
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to support business goals
  • Plan inventory for new product launches and end-of-life products
  • Place purchase orders for internal, drop shipment, and service-related items
  • Develop and track key metrics such as inventory levels and forecast accuracy
  • Analyze gaps between forecast and actual results to improve planning processes
  • Lead cross-functional meetings to review production and shipment status
  • Maintain MRP parameters and master data throughout the product lifecycle
  • Identify process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency
  • Mentor and support junior team members

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 6+ years of experience in supply chain, production planning, or order management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Experience with Excel, ERP systems (SAP preferred), and Salesforce is a plus
  • Lean Six Sigma or APICS certification is a plus
  • Bilingual in Japanese and English (required)
