Pay rate:<\/strong> $38-42\/hour\u00a0<\/p>\n

Position Summary<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Support logistics operations for an international metals and minerals trading business.<\/li>\n
  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments while ensuring timely delivery, accurate documentation, and payment processing.<\/li>\n
  • Work closely with overseas offices, logistics providers, customers, and internal departments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Key Responsibilities<\/h3>\n

    Logistics & Transportation<\/h4>\n
      \n
    • Coordinate product release requests with overseas offices.<\/li>\n
    • Prepare and distribute shipping and logistics instructions.<\/li>\n
    • Collect customers' monthly shipment declarations and communicate with overseas stakeholders.<\/li>\n
    • Negotiate freight rates with trucking, rail, port, and other transportation providers.<\/li>\n
    • Calculate freight costs and provide transportation cost information to overseas offices.<\/li>\n
    • Issue shipping instructions to transportation companies and ports.<\/li>\n
    • Monitor shipments from origin through final customer delivery.<\/li>\n
    • Coordinate warehouse transfers and inventory movements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Shipping Documentation & Customer Support<\/h4>\n
        \n
      • Prepare and issue shipping documents to customers.<\/li>\n
      • Create customer invoices and distribute them through appropriate channels.<\/li>\n
      • Prepare credit and debit documentation when required.<\/li>\n
      • Coordinate shipment releases with customs brokers and other logistics partners.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Accounting & Payment Processing<\/h4>\n
          \n
        • Enter invoices into the company's internal ERP\/accounting system.<\/li>\n
        • Process payments to transportation providers, warehouses, customs brokers, insurance companies, suppliers, and other vendors.<\/li>\n
        • Monitor customer payments and record transactions in the internal system.<\/li>\n
        • Process intercompany and mutual account transactions.<\/li>\n
        • Support reconciliation of shipments involving provisional and final pricing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Reporting & Administration<\/h4>\n
            \n
          • Maintain detailed shipment records, including pricing, payment status, contract terms, and due dates using spreadsheets.<\/li>\n
          • Organize logistics files and maintain accurate documentation.<\/li>\n
          • Prepare and distribute copies of freight, warehousing, port, customs, and payment-related documents to overseas offices.<\/li>\n
          • Perform general administrative support related to logistics operations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Qualifications<\/h3>\n
              \n
            • Associate's degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent work experience.<\/li>\n
            • 1\u20132 years of office or administrative experience.<\/li>\n
            • Strong written and verbal communication skills.<\/li>\n
            • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural business environment.<\/li>\n
            • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.<\/li>\n
            • Experience with an ERP system is preferred.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              Assignment Details<\/h3>\n
                \n
              • Temporary leave coverage assignment.<\/li>\n
              • Expected duration: Approximately September through February.<\/li>\n
              • On-site position in New York City.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
