Position Summary<\/h2>\n

Our client, a High-end Japanese restaurant is looking for a General Manager who leads all aspects of restaurant operations, including guest experience, team leadership, financial performance, and daily operations. This role is responsible for maintaining exceptional service standards while developing a high-performing team in a luxury Japanese dining environment.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n

Operations Management<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Oversee daily restaurant operations and ensure exceptional guest experiences.<\/li>\n
  • Manage opening\/closing procedures and daily service execution.<\/li>\n
  • Monitor labor costs, food costs (COGS), and overall financial performance.<\/li>\n
  • Oversee inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships.<\/li>\n
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and California labor regulations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Team Leadership<\/h3>\n
      \n
    • Recruit, train, coach, and develop restaurant staff.<\/li>\n
    • Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback.<\/li>\n
    • Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on hospitality.<\/li>\n
    • Partner with HR on hiring, employee relations, and compliance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Guest Experience<\/h3>\n
        \n
      • Build relationships with guests and ensure outstanding service.<\/li>\n
      • Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly.<\/li>\n
      • Monitor guest feedback and implement service improvements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        <\/p>\n

        Qualifications<\/h2>\n

        Required<\/h3>\n
          \n
        • 5+ years of hospitality management experience.<\/li>\n
        • 2+ years as a General Manager in fine dining, luxury hospitality, or upscale restaurant concepts.<\/li>\n
        • Strong P&L management and labor cost control experience.<\/li>\n
        • Excellent leadership and communication skills.<\/li>\n
        • Knowledge of POS, scheduling, and reservation systems.<\/li>\n
        • Authorized to work in the U.S.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Preferred<\/h3>\n
            \n
          • Experience with Japanese cuisine or luxury hospitality.<\/li>\n
          • Japanese-English bilingual.<\/li>\n
          • California Food Manager Certification (ServSafe or equivalent).<\/li>\n
