A well-established Japanese manufacturing company with a global presence is seeking an experienced Japanese Bilingual<\/strong> FP&A Manager<\/strong> to lead financial planning and analysis activities for its U.S. operations. This position plays a key role in supporting executive decision-making, driving financial performance, and serving as the primary liaison between the U.S. organization and the Finance\/Corporate Management team at the Japan headquarters.<\/p>\n

Position Summary<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The FP&A Manager is responsible for leading all financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting activities for the U.S. business. This role will supervise a team of three and work closely with department leaders to consolidate financial data, analyze business performance, and provide actionable recommendations to executive management.<\/p>\n

The successful candidate will also serve as the primary finance contact with the Japan headquarters, supporting corporate reporting requirements and various strategic projects.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Financial Planning & Budgeting<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and mid-term business planning.<\/li>\n
  • Coordinate budget preparation across all departments.<\/li>\n
  • Consolidate departmental budgets into a comprehensive company financial plan.<\/li>\n
  • Develop revenue, gross profit, operating expense, and cash flow projections.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Financial Analysis & Forecasting<\/h3>\n
      \n
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts.<\/li>\n
    • Perform Budget vs. Actual analysis and investigate variances.<\/li>\n
    • Identify key business drivers and recommend corrective actions.<\/li>\n
    • Analyze profitability by product, customer, business unit, or project.<\/li>\n
    • Conduct revenue, cost, margin, and operating expense analysis.<\/li>\n
    • Support scenario planning and financial modeling based on market conditions and sales projections.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Business Partnership<\/h3>\n
        \n
      • Partner with other departments to collect financial information and improve planning accuracy.<\/li>\n
      • Consolidate financial data from multiple departments into standardized management reports.<\/li>\n
      • Analyze departmental spending and identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency.<\/li>\n
      • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Reporting & Headquarters Support<\/h3>\n
          \n
        • Prepare monthly management reports for U.S. executive leadership and Japan headquarters.<\/li>\n
        • Present financial results, forecasts, and business performance analyses.<\/li>\n
        • Respond to ad hoc requests and special projects from the Japan headquarters.<\/li>\n
        • Support strategic initiatives and corporate planning projects as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Leadership<\/h3>\n
            \n
          • Supervise, coach, and develop a team of three FP&A professionals.<\/li>\n
          • Establish priorities, improve financial processes, and promote best practices.<\/li>\n
          • Drive continuous improvement in reporting, planning, and financial analysis.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Required Qualifications<\/h3>\n
              \n
            • Bachelor\u2019s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.<\/li>\n
            • 7\u20138+ years of experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, Financial Analysis, or a related finance function.<\/strong><\/li>\n
            • Previous management or supervisory experience strongly preferred.<\/li>\n
            • Business-level proficiency in both English and Japanese is required.<\/strong><\/li>\n
            • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP\/VLOOKUP, and complex formulas\uff1bPower BI experince is highly appreciated, but not required.<\/li>\n
            • Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, revenue analysis, cost analysis, and profitability analysis.<\/li>\n
            • Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.<\/li>\n
