The role serves as a key liaison between Japanese enterprises and management of a global automotive parts manufacturer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif\">This position also includes responsibility for leading and managing several Sales Representatives, contributing to team performance and overall sales success.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h3><strong style=\"font-family: sans-serif;font-size: 13px\"><u>Responsibilities<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif\">\u2022 Assist the Vice President with the development and coordination of new business opportunities<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif\">\u2022 Build and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers to support business growth<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif\">\u2022 Coordinate new business opportunities through the manufacturing stage<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif\">\u2022 Prepare and present competitive pricing proposals while ensuring profitability goals are met<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif\">\u2022 Negotiate pricing and business opportunities with customers and suppliers<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif\">\u2022 Communicate with the parent company and offshore suppliers\/customers, translating and conveying information for U.S. management as needed<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif\">\u2022 Coordinate sales and purchasing activities with domestic and offshore customers and vendors<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif\">\u2022 Develop project timelines and monitor progress to ensure successful launches<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif\">\u2022 Work with internal departments to support new product launch activities<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif\">\u2022 Prepare business forecasts and support cost analysis and pricing activities<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif\">\u2022 Provide timely updates regarding orders, schedule changes, and customer requirements<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif\">\u2022 Serve as a technical interpreter between Japanese enterprises and U.S. management<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif\">\u2022 Lead and manage Sales Representatives, providing guidance and oversight to achieve team objectives<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif\">\u2022 Travel to customer, supplier, and parent company locations as required (approximately 25%, primarily within the Midwest region)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h3><strong style=\"font-family: sans-serif;font-size: 13px\"><u>Qualifications<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif\">\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif\">\u2022 Minimum two (2) years of experience in OEM automotive parts sales<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif\">\u2022 Bilingual in English and Japanese (Japanese at an expert \/ idiomatic level required)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif\">\u2022 Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif\">\u2022 Leadership capability with experience or potential to manage team members<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif\">\u2022 Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif\">\u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif\">\u2022 Familiarity with CAD\/CAM systems preferred<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif\">\u2022 Ability to read and interpret blueprints at a conceptual leve<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h3><strong style=\"font-family: sans-serif;font-size: 14px\"><u>Additional Information<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif\">\u2022 Approximately 25% travel, primarily within the Midwest region<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":0,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_promoted":"","_job_location":"","_application":"","_company_name":"","_company_website":"","_company_tagline":"","_company_twitter":"","_company_video":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_remote_position":0,"_job_salary":"","_job_salary_currency":"","_job_salary_unit":""},"job-categories":[],"job-types":[],"class_list":["post-24924","job_listing","type-job_listing","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
