About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to support manufacturing and fabrication operations by ensuring welded components, pressure vessels, piping systems, and fabricated equipment meet applicable quality standards and customer specifications. This role is responsible for performing inspections, documenting results, collaborating with production teams, and helping maintain high standards of product quality in a manufacturing environment.

Required Qualifications

  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required.
  • Trade school diploma or equivalent, preferably in Welding.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience inspecting PVDF/PP piping welds for high-purity applications, such as semiconductor projects.
  • Experience inspecting PVC piping bonding.
  • Nondestructive Testing (NDT) certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • ASME B31.3
    • ASTM standards
    • ASME standards
    • AWS D1.1
    • Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
    • Welder Qualification Test Records (WQTR)
    • Procedure Qualification Records (PQR)
  • Familiarity with National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) standards is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Proficiency with mechanical measuring instruments and inspection tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual inspections of welds to verify compliance with applicable codes, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Inspect fabricated vessels, skidded systems, piping, and fabricated components throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Review welding procedures and specifications to ensure compliance with customer and industry requirements.
  • Verify installation of internal vessel components and assemblies.
  • Perform in-house inspections of fabricated parts and manufactured assemblies.
  • Assist with fabrication of PVC internal vessel components and assemblies as needed.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports, photographs, and required documentation for each inspection.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and submit reports to management.
  • Work closely with welding personnel by providing guidance to help ensure quality workmanship.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with supplier quality control personnel.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to ensure quality requirements are incorporated throughout production.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to manufacturing quality and inspection processes.
  • May be assigned additional duties and responsibilities by management as needed.
