Sales Engineer

Pay: Base 55K~70K + Commission and Bonus

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Engineer to drive business growth, manage customer relationships, and support sales activities in alignment with company goals and objectives. This role is responsible for developing sales opportunities, maintaining customer satisfaction, managing order fulfillment, and collaborating with internal teams to achieve revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and execution of strategic sales plans that support business objectives.
  • Drive sales forecasting activities and help establish performance goals.
  • Analyze market trends, customer requirements, pricing structures, and discount strategies.
  • Advise dealers, distributors, and customers on sales and marketing approaches.
  • Review sales performance data and recommend actions to increase market penetration and revenue growth.
  • Represent the organization at trade shows, industry events, and professional associations.
  • Deliver product and solution presentations to prospective and existing customers.
  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen customer relationships through regular engagement.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and manage order acquisition activities.
  • Coordinate with sales support teams, manufacturing facilities, headquarters, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless customer service.
  • Prepare periodic sales reports covering sales performance, pipeline opportunities, market trends, and customer expansion plans.
  • Provide market feedback to support product development and innovation initiatives.
  • Monitor competitor activities, products, and market positioning.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field; or
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant sales, technical sales, or customer-facing experience; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare reports, business correspondence, and presentations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers, management, and cross-functional teams.

Mathematical & Analytical Skills

  • Ability to analyze sales data and calculate percentages, commissions, discounts, and forecasts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Computer Skills

Proficiency with:

  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Outlook or equivalent email platforms
  • CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Order processing systems
  • Project management software
  • Internet-based applications and business software tools

Travel Requirement

  • There may be multiple business trips each month that add up to about one week per month in total. 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use standard office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, via phone, and through virtual meetings.

Work Environment

  • Primarily office-based with regular customer visits and travel.
