Location: Hillsboro, OR (On-site)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in basic chemistry (experience with scale-up and manufacturing of new chemical products is a plus)
  • Bilingual in English and Japanese (both oral and written)
  • Experience in materials characterization (e.g., XPS, SEM, TEM/STEM, EDS, XRF, ellipsometer, goniometer) preferred
  • Comfortable handling hazardous chemicals and following strict safety procedures
  • Strong communication, time management, and teamwork skills

Physical/Work Requirements:

  • Ability to work in lab or cleanroom environment while wearing PPE
  • May involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • Must be alert to potential hazards and capable of safe chemical handling

Responsibilities:

  • Research and develop advanced chemical materials for semiconductor surface preparation and cleaning technologies
  • Conduct experiments and analyze results using lab instruments and analytical tools
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and communicate findings to internal and external partners
  • Collaborate with global R&D teams to transfer insights into scalable production processes
  • Support ISO 9001/14001 continuous improvement activities and safe lab practices
  • Assist in chemical inventory, equipment setup, and maintenance tasks
