An international automotive parts manufacturer is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support new product launches, optimize production processes, and lead tooling and automation projects from concept through mass production.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with injection molding, metal stamping, automation systems, tooling development, and continuous improvement initiatives while working alongside experienced engineering and manufacturing professionals.
Responsibilities:
Lead tooling and manufacturing projects from design review through production launch
Coordinate prototype builds, tooling trials, validation activities, and production implementation
Design and develop manufacturing fixtures, workholding devices, and process improvements
Support production troubleshooting and root-cause analysis related to tooling, equipment, and processes
Collaborate with tool shops, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution
Participate in process optimization, parameter development, and continuous improvement initiatives
Assist with APQP activities, manufacturing readiness reviews, and new product introductions
Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes for quality, efficiency, and cost reduction
Support automation, PLC-controlled equipment, and manufacturing technology improvements
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering Technology
Manufacturing experience through internships, co-ops, or full-time employment
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Qualifications:
0–2 years of experience in automotive or high-volume manufacturing
Exposure to injection molding, metal stamping, assembly operations, or automation systems
Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo/Pro-E, or similar 3D modeling tools
Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, and new product launch processes
Basic knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment (Mitsubishi, Keyence, DirectSoft, or similar)
Experience supporting tooling development, tooling trials, or process validation activities
Project management experience from quotation through implementation is a plus
