Title: General Manager

Location: Manhattan, NY(on-site)

Language: Business-level Japanese required (able to communicate without issues); professional English required

Salary Range: $130K – 190K (DOE)

About the Role

Lead overall business management for the U.S. entity of a Japan-headquartered apparel group. This is a COO-track position: candidates with GM-level experience are welcome.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute corporate strategy and revenue growth strategy for the U.S. business
• Provide end-to-end leadership across sales channels (Retail / E-commerce / Wholesale)
• Plan and execute branding strategies to maximize brand value
• Drive strategic decision-making and resource allocation to achieve business KPIs

Required Qualifications / Profile

• Strong English communication skills for business use (calls, emails, meetings)
• Extensive experience in apparel branding and retail management
• Solid understanding of the value chain, including SCM
• Management experience in overseas businesses that include manufacturing and sales
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional business operations across multiple departments
• Strategic thinking with the ability to design KPIs and run data-driven PDCA cycles
• High interpersonal skills and leadership to build trust with internal and external stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• U.S. work experience
• B2B / wholesale business experience in international markets
• DENIM production knowledge is a big plus (not mandatory)
