Territory Sales Manager -Industrial Gas

Location: Rochester, NY (Field-Based)

Salary: $80,000–$100,000 + Commission

Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

A growing industrial gas solutions company is seeking a Territory Sales Manager to drive business growth across the assigned territory. This is an outside sales role focused on developing new business, building long-term customer relationships, and expanding market share.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, results-oriented sales professional with experience selling industrial products or technical solutions. Candidates must reside within the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business through cold calling, networking, referrals, and industry events
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers throughout the territory
  • Identify new sales opportunities through market and industry research
  • Promote the company's industrial gas products and solutions
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing
  • Track opportunities, sales activities, and forecasts using Salesforce CRM
  • Achieve and exceed territory sales and revenue goals
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field preferred
  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience
  • Experience in industrial gases, specialty chemicals, manufacturing, industrial equipment, or other technical industries is highly preferred
  • Proven success in new business development and managing long sales cycles
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a field-based role
  • Experience using Salesforce or another CRM system
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory
  • Must reside within the assigned geographic territory
