The Air Export and Warehouse Coordinator manages air export shipments from booking through departure while supporting daily warehouse operations. This role combines freight forwarding coordination with hands-on warehouse activities to ensure efficient, compliant, and on-time cargo movement.
Key Responsibilities
Air Export Operations
Coordinate air export shipments, including bookings, pickups, trucking, and airline arrangements.
Prepare and verify export documents (HAWB, MAWB, AES/EEI filings, manifests, and pre-alerts).
Track shipments and communicate status updates to customers, carriers, and overseas offices.
Ensure compliance with TSA, IAC, export regulations, and company procedures.
Maintain accurate shipment records, billing information, and operational files.
Resolve shipment issues, delays, and documentation discrepancies.
Warehouse Operations
Receive, inspect, label, store, load, unload, and release cargo.
Verify cargo quantity, condition, dimensions, and documentation.
Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
Maintain inventory accuracy and proper cargo handling procedures.
Support cargo screening, palletizing, repacking, and other warehouse services.
Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
Team & Administrative Support
Provide daily guidance and training to warehouse staff as assigned.
Monitor safety, operational compliance, and productivity.
Assist with operational reporting, inventory counts, and process improvements.
Support management with other operational duties as needed.
Qualifications
2+ years of air export freight forwarding experience preferred.
Knowledge of air export documentation, AES/EEI filings, and cargo security procedures.
Warehouse and cargo handling experience preferred.
Forklift experience or ability to obtain certification.
Experience with CargoWise or similar freight forwarding software is a plus.
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in both office and warehouse environments.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment.
Flexibility to work overtime when required by shipment schedules.
