About the Role

We are seeking a Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team on the second shift. This position is responsible for inspecting welded components, fabricated vessels, piping systems, and assemblies to ensure products meet customer specifications, quality standards, and industry requirements. The ideal candidate has experience in a manufacturing environment and a strong understanding of welding inspection and fabrication processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Trade school diploma or equivalent, preferably in Welding.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience inspecting PVDF/PP piping welds for high-purity applications, such as semiconductor projects.
  • Experience inspecting PVC piping and bonded assemblies.
  • Knowledge of:
    • Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
    • Welder Qualification Test Records (WQTR)
    • Procedure Qualification Records (PQR)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Teams.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with mechanical measuring equipment and inspection tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct visual inspections of welds to ensure compliance with applicable standards and specifications.
  • Review welding procedures and specifications to verify compliance with customer and industry requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to welding personnel regarding quality standards and inspection requirements.
  • Inspect fabricated vessels, skidded systems, piping, and fabricated components throughout production.
  • Verify installation of internal vessel components and assemblies.
  • Perform in-house inspections of fabricated parts and manufactured assemblies.
  • Assist with in-house fabrication of PVC internal vessel components and assemblies as needed.
  • Prepare inspection reports, photographs, and other required documentation for each inspection.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and submit reports to management.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with supplier quality control personnel.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and other departments to integrate quality requirements into manufacturing processes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and manufacturing operations.
  • May be assigned additional duties and responsibilities by management as needed.
