About the Role
A Japanese company is looking for a Japanese-English Bilingual Interpreter to support communication between Japanese- and English-speaking team members in a sake brewery. This role is primarily focused on interpretation, while also assisting with hands-on production activities and light administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Provide Japanese-English interpretation during daily manufacturing operations.
- Support communication between Japanese and local staff.
- Assist with the traditional sake brewing process, including rice preparation, fermentation, and bottling.
- Provide accounting support when needed, including:
- Processing vendor payments
- Organizing invoices and receipts
- Preparing information for the external accounting firm
Qualifications
- Business-level Japanese and English communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
- Detail-oriented and willing to learn.
- Previous interpretation experience is preferred but not required.
