Required Qualifications:
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in basic chemistry (experience with scale-up and manufacturing of new chemical products is a plus)
- Bilingual in English and Japanese (both oral and written)
- Experience in materials characterization (e.g., XPS, SEM, TEM/STEM, EDS, XRF, ellipsometer, goniometer) preferred
- Comfortable handling hazardous chemicals and following strict safety procedures
- Strong communication, time management, and teamwork skills
Physical/Work Requirements:
- Ability to work in lab or cleanroom environment while wearing PPE
- May involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Must be alert to potential hazards and capable of safe chemical handling
Responsibilities:
- Research and develop advanced chemical materials for semiconductor surface preparation and cleaning technologies
- Conduct experiments and analyze results using lab instruments and analytical tools
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and communicate findings to internal and external partners
- Collaborate with global R&D teams to transfer insights into scalable production processes
- Support ISO 9001/14001 continuous improvement activities and safe lab practices
- Assist in chemical inventory, equipment setup, and maintenance tasks
