HR Assistant- Japanese Bilingual

Position Summary
We are seeking a bilingual HR Generalist / Assistant to support payroll administration, benefits management, and HR/administrative operations. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient HR processes while providing support to employees, including Japanese expatriates.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Administration
- Process multi-company, multi-state payroll using ADP
- Maintain payroll records and employee data changes
- Monitor time and attendance records
- Prepare payroll reports and support 401(k) administration
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies
- Assist expatriate employees with payroll- and tax-related matters
Benefits Administration
- Manage employee benefit enrollment and data updates
- Reconcile benefit invoices and coordinate payments
- Conduct new-hire benefits orientation
- Support Japanese expatriates with benefits enrollment and Social Security Number processes
- Prepare ACA-related reports and ensure compliance requirements are met
HR & Administrative Support
- Assist with employment visa documentation and expatriate administration
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation
- Support J-SOX documentation and reporting requirements
- Coordinate headcount reports and surveys with subsidiaries
- Provide administrative support to employees and visitors as needed
Qualifications
Required
- Fluency in both English and Japanese (written and verbal)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Preferred
- Experience with ADP Payroll System
- Experience supporting expatriate employees and visa-related processes
- HR Generalist experience in a corporate environment
