Sales Staff – Electronic Components & Factory Automation

·      Location: Livonia, MI

·      Salary: 55K-$80K/year (DOE)

·      Work Style: Full-time | Exempt | 100% onsite

Position Overview

A growing organization in the electronic components and factory automation industry is seeking a motivated Sales Staff professional to support business growth and customer relationships. This role combines outside sales, customer support, and new business development, making it ideal for someone who enjoys building partnerships, solving problems, and working in a fast-paced international business environment.

The position offers exposure to both existing and emerging markets while working closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams. Candidates with strong communication skills, business acumen, and an interest in technical products will thrive in this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Account Management-50%

·      Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers

·      Conduct face-to-face meetings and field sales activities within assigned territories

·      Prepare quotations by coordinating pricing and lead times with suppliers

·      Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email

·      Expand business opportunities through proactive sales and marketing efforts

Customer Service & Operations Support 40%

·      Process customer orders and maintain accurate documentation

·      Coordinate with engineering teams and vendors to address product inquiries

·      Verify shipping, billing, and payment details

·      Resolve customer concerns and support issue resolution with suppliers

New Business Development-10%

·      Research market trends and identify new business opportunities

·      Analyze potential markets and customer needs

·      Support sales strategy development to increase revenue growth

Qualifications

·      Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred

·      Prior sales or customer service experience in a related industry is a plus

·      Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and Word

·      Excellent communication and negotiation abilities

·      Valid driver’s license required

·      Japanese language ability is highly preferred but not mandatory

Work Environment
