Position Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to oversee payroll, benefits administration, HR compliance, employee relations, and day-to-day HR operations.

Hands-on experience with HR Compliance and Payroll Tax Administration is required.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll & Benefits

  • Manage payroll processing and payroll tax administration
  • Oversee employee benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k)
  • Coordinate annual Open Enrollment
  • Process employee status changes and maintain HR records

HR Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Prepare compliance reports (EEO-1, CA Pay Data Reporting, etc.)
  • Manage workers' compensation and unemployment claims
  • Maintain accurate employee personnel files

HR Operations

  • Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and managers
  • Support employee relations and HR policy administration
  • Prepare HR reports and recommend process improvements
  • Coordinate HR projects, meetings, and training programs

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of Human Resources experience
  • Hands-on experience with HR Compliance and Payroll Tax Administration
  • Experience with payroll, benefits administration, and employee relations
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Multi-state HR experience
  • Japanese or Spanish language skills are a plus
