A well-established Japanese chemical manufacturing company is seeking an IT Administrator to support IT administration, accounting operations, and general office functions. This position requires strong bilingual communication skills in Japanese and English and offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative corporate environment.
IT Administrator will be responsible for supporting IT administration and end-user support (approximately 80% of responsibilities) and accounting operations (approximately 20% of responsibilities). The ideal candidate will have experience supporting office technology, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work effectively in a bilingual environment.
· 2-3 years of IT support, systems administration, or related experience
· Business-level Japanese and English communication skills (written and verbal)
· Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data management
· Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
· Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
· Manage company PC lifecycle, including procurement, inventory tracking, warranty management, asset records, and equipment replacement programs.
· Maintain and update IT asset inventories and provide reporting as required.
· Configure and deploy new employee workstations, including user account setup, software installation, security applications, VPN access, and cloud storage integration.
· Coordinate user account creation, modification, suspension, and termination with external IT service providers.
· Administer Microsoft 365 environment, including user accounts, password resets, email distribution groups, shared mailboxes, and access permissions.
· Manage user access to collaboration platforms, shared folders, and cloud-based resources.
· Monitor user login activity and security-related reports to support compliance and audit requirements.
· Maintain inactive user accounts and records in accordance with company retention and e-discovery policies.
· Administer internal database applications, including user registration, access management, and system updates.
· Maintain user documentation and training materials for internal systems and applications.
· Administer security awareness and compliance training platforms, including user enrollment, campaign creation, training assignments, and reporting.
· Conduct phishing awareness programs and monitor employee participation and security risk levels.
· Review phishing reports and security alerts and provide feedback and guidance to employees as needed.
· Administer business phone systems, including user accounts, extensions, and system configuration.
· Maintain and update IT policies, procedures, and security guidelines.
· Respond to IT incidents and coordinate corrective actions to minimize operational and security risks.
· Maintain inventories of IT systems, network resources, and administrative passwords.
· Support office network operations, including internet connectivity, wireless access points, and related infrastructure.
· Administer office technology equipment, including printers, scanners, monitors, docking stations, and related peripherals.
· Maintain network documentation and infrastructure diagrams.
· Support internal and external audits by providing IT security and system-related information.
· Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, email, printing, and security-related issues for end users.
· Coordinate with external IT vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues and implement system improvements.
· Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
· Prepare vendor payments and customer invoices
· Maintain accounting records and supporting documentation
· Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
· Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
· Support expense reporting and reimbursement processes
