Position Summary
We are seeking a Tech Support Specialist to lead the development of Python‑based applications that reduce the workload of engineers in Japan and the United States. This temp‑to‑hire role focuses on application development, operations, and cross‑team collaboration, offering a possible opportunity to transition to a permanent position within 6 months to 1 year.
The position requires strong communication skills, hands‑on Python development experience, and the ability to work closely with engineers and stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of Python applications to automate and optimize engineering workflows
- Gather and clarify requirements in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Work closely with engineers to design, develop, and deliver reliable applications
- Oversee deployment, operation, and continuous improvement of applications
- Create and maintain technical documentation, design documents, and user guides
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure stable operation
- Design, execute, and validate test cases and share results
- Support documentation updates and related project tasks as needed
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Python application development or system engineering
- Strong expertise in Python and application development
- Experience with Git, code reviews, and testing best practices
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and data formats (JSON, XML)
- Ability to build scalable and maintainable software solutions
Preferred Skills
- Experience with AI/ML or LLM‑related development (e.g., LangChain, local LLMs)
- Experience with cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, GCP)
- DevOps and CI/CD pipeline experience
- Database development experience (Oracle ADB, MySQL, etc.)
Work Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
- Primarily on‑site; limited hybrid work available (typically up to 1 day per week)
- Holidays aligned with Japan holiday schedule, including Thanksgiving and Christmas
